Pin Site Radio

The new functionality highlights the ability to define an image in your page that can be dragged to pin your website to the Taskbar. It highlights a new API that allows sites to determine if this is the first time a user has launched a Pinned Site after installation. Also, it introduces two new navigation models for Jump List Task and Custom List Items. Now, websites can define if the new page should navigate in-place, open a new window, or continue to open in a new tab (default).
This demo highlights the Pin Site features we released in IE9 (see content and description below).
Drag the radio Image above to the taskbar to get started.

After the Radio image (on top of the page) is dragged & dropped to the taskbar, the site will be pinned. When the pinned site launches for the first time, the startURL page will be redirected to a configuration page after evaluating our new API, “external.msIsSiteModeFirstRun”. This new API lets the page know that this is the first time the site has been launched after installation. The configuration window allows users to select their settings for the website and define what items they want in their Custom Jump List. The next time, the Pin Site is launched the site will skip the configuration page and go directly to the startURL.
